I had a corneal implant done six years ago for this same purpose. It was combined with my first lasik procedure especially calibrated to reinforce complementary vision between both eyes, one for close-up vision and the other for distant vision. Ever since my eyesight has been markedly improved but the Kamra implant does have a halo effect at night when seeing lights which get blurred. Otherwise it's a cool solution to no longer need to wear eyeglasses. Some people can encounter graft rejection because your body senses a foreign body and proceeds to encapsulate the lens with opaque skin. This does nothing to enhance your vision of course. It happened to my lens, but just on its periphery, it doesn't obstruct visoin much so for now they're leaving it in. FWIW
